Sallie Smith was born in Kalamazoo Michigan in 1983. She studied "New Genres" at the San Francisco Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts Prague, receiving her BFA in 2008. She is currently an MFA candidate at School of the Art Institute in Chicago.
